Bazaar

I had a very busy weekend. I visited my family and did other non-academic stuff, which I hope to share here in the next couple of days. For this post, I want to show you two non-touristic neighborhood bazaars in Istanbul. Going to these bazaars was one of the things I missed when I was in the US. When I think about it though I wonder if I am doomed to being a visitor/tourist even in my own country. If you think about it it is quite weird to take pictures in the middle of regular daily life. I have never seen anyone taking pictures and people stared at me. So what did i do? He he I gave the camera to my valiant husband so he took most of the pictures for me.
There is something quite unsettling being in your country and feeling like an alien without even the benefits of being a foreigner. I mean people are usually more understanding about your weirdness when you are abroad. Anyway, less thinking more getting things done please.
